Norman Filter Company designs, manufactures and tests high and medium pressure filter assemblies in our state of the art facility. Beyond our standard catalog products, our engineering & manufacturing team has extensive experience designing and building custom filter assemblies to a wide range of applications. All housings are machined from DFARs compliant raw bar stock ensuring the highest quality and safety. NFC designs to many internationally accepted design standards, including ASME B31.3, ASME BPBC and European PED. Our filters have passed the rigorous testing required for use in mission critical applications for US Defense and Aerospace companies. All machining, welding, inspection and precision measurement is accomplished under our AS9100 quality system requirements.
Norman Filter housings are designed in house and machined from 303, 304, 316L, 17-4, Super duplex, and A286 Stainless, as well as Aluminum raw bar stock. We have experience with less common metals such as titanium and zirconium. Titanium is a common metal used in aerospace applications and our zirconium filter was used in a highly corrosive chemical application.
Norman Tee-Type filters are used to condition a wide variety of fluids. Whether your application is hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical processing, compressed gases or industrial fluid clarification, Norman filters will remove particulate contaminates from your system to keep it running longer. Norman Tee-Type filter housings are made of either aluminum or stainless steel. Aluminum pressure vessels are rated at 5000 PSI (operating), and offer light weight and low cost; our stainless steel housings have higher operating pressures (up to 20,000 PSI) and excellent corrosion resistance.
